How To: Using Instant Posts in Create
How to Use Instant Posts in Create
What is an Instant Post?
An Instant Post is a draft type in Create that gets published immediately, and bypasses almost the entire draft form submission process. Instant Posts are great for if you already have finished media and copy for a social media post, and just want to publish it immediately.
NOTE: Unlike a normal Content Draft, Instant Posts can only be published on one social media platform at a time.
How Do I Create an Instant Post?
Instant Posts can be created from your Main Navigation Menu on the left, from the plus icon on the Calendar, or from the plus icon on the Content Page. Follow the steps below to create one or walk through our demo tutorial HERE.
- Click the LIGHTNING BOLT icon next to blue the “Create Draft” button in the Main Navigation menu on the left.
- Fill out the brief Instant Post intake form. The Content Scheme field has automatically been marked with ‘Instant Social Media Post’ and Post Topic has been prefilled with ‘Instant Post’. You can adjust the Post Topic if you’d prefer a custom topic name.
- Select the PLATFORM you want this post to go out on.
- (OPTIONAL) Add your tags/content pillar to your Instant Post draft.
- Click SAVE DRAFT.
- After submitting your form, you’ll automatically be directed to a popup. This popup is a simplified version of your WORKSPACE COLUMN. Upload your Media and Post Copy here.
- Click SAVE in the upper right-hand corner of the popup. This ensures that your Instant Post’s Draft will appear in your CONTENT TAB alongside all your pre-planned Drafts.
- Click PUBLISH.
Congratulations! You now know how to publish social media content using our Instant Post Feature. Your Instant Posts will show up in your Content Page and will automatically marked with the ‘Published’ status.
Why Does my Instant Post have the ‘Ready’ Status?
Your Instant Post has the ‘Ready’ status because it is either:
- Scheduled to publish at a date in the future OR
- You did not click the PUBLISH button after saving your Instant Post.
