What’s the difference between the filters: Accounts, Channels, and Brands?
- The Accounts filter allows you to select specific connected pages or profiles. If you manage multiple pages or accounts on a social media platform (like Facebook or Instagram), this filter lets you focus on a subset of those. For example, if you have 5 Facebook pages connected to your account but want to see metrics for only 3 of them, you can use the Accounts filter to select just those 3 pages.
- The Channels filter groups profiles by platform (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn). This filter allows you to view analytics for all profiles on a particular platform, regardless of how many individual accounts you have. You can also select multiple channels at once to compare performance across different platforms. For example, if you want to see data for both Facebook and Instagram, you can select both channels and get combined insights for all of your connected profiles on those platforms.
- The Brands filter is available to users with a multi-brand (parent-child) setup. It lets you filter data by brand, which is helpful when managing multiple brands or businesses within the same account. You can quickly select one or more brands to include or exclude from your dashboards. This option is useful for users who need to analyze performance across multiple brands or different entities under a unified account.
When Should I Use the Accounts Filter?
Use the Accounts filter when you want to focus on a select few profiles or pages across any platform. For example, if you’re managing multiple pages on the same platform (e.g., 5 Facebook pages), and only want to review metrics for 3 of them, the Accounts filter is the best option.
When Should I Use the Channels Filter?
Use the Channels filter when you want to evaluate performance across an entire platform (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn) and all of your connected accounts on that platform. This is ideal when comparing performance across multiple profiles on the same social network.
When Should I Use the Brands Filter?
Use the Brands filter to manage and view analytics specific to one or more of your brands. This filter is especially useful for users managing different businesses or brands and who need to switch between them quickly to monitor performance across multiple connected accounts.
Note: If you do not see the Brands filter, your subscription level may not be set up with the multi-brand experience.
